Morbus Legion Chaos Space Marines

I thought I'd post some shots of some completed work I've done on my CSMs. I am a monumentally slow painter though as I don't get much time to fit it in. The army is about 1200 points painted and these are some of the better pieces.

Defiler of Nurgle

Current CMON score is

Chaos Terminator of Nurgle

Plague Marine Squad Anthrax (the guy on the left is holding a book in case you're wondering what it is ;) )

Work In Progress: Witch Hunter Inquisitor Acolyte

This is a work in progress picture of the Acolyte for my Witch Hunter Inquisitorial Retinue. I was going to use this model as the Inquisitor himself but I think I've changed my mind, and I'll pick up a different model for that.

The conversion is based of an Empire Priest with hand weapon and shield. I remove the arm holding the shield and replaced it with a spare arm and green stuffed the material back in. I've also swapped the hammer to was holding for a banner (which hasn't come out that well...). In addition the servo skull is from the Devastator frame, and I picked up the bit from bitzbox.co.uk. The priest model is bald so I've green stuffed some hair on to him, my first attempt at hair with GS. The green stuff on his face is going to be a targeter eye or metal plate or something, something more 40k-ish anyway.

I've found the Empire flagellant sprues to be really useful so far with my Witch Hunters, as they use alot of the same imagery (skulls, hour glasses, chains etc). I've converted a priest from one of the flagellants (an idea I shamelessly ripped from from Zen40K's Penal Legion), so I'll post a picture of that when I get chance.

Nurgle Daemon Prince

This is a shot of my Nurgle Daemon Prince, Morbus the Foul, leader of the Morbus Legion. Currently he's actually in the process of having wings added to him so I'll post some more pics when I've done that. The model is largely scratch built from wire (paper clips), and putty. Any complicated bits like the arms and hands are GW bits. The arms are Tyranid arms I think. The core of the body was built using Milliput which is rock hard and forms a good base for a detail skin made from green stuff. The model was originally converted and built for the last Chaos Space Marines codex so he originally had Daemonic Stature (hence the size, he's about twice the height of a marine) and Daemonic Speed. He also had a Nurgling Infestation as well. As the new codex has done away with that cool stuff, I've had to plan to add wings to him which I didn't really design him for. Hopefully it shouldn't spoil him...

I am Iron Man!

I went to see Iron Man at the cinema last night. Yes, I know its weeks after it was released but I don't get to go to the cinema very often. Anyway, the reports I heard about it was that it was good and I agree with it, it was really enjoyable. It's also worth staying till the end of the credits, partly because you can enjoy Black Sabbath's Iron Man, but also there is a short extra section at the end of the film with a cool cameo. If you've already seen it and missed it, just google for Samuel L Jackson and Iron Man and you'll find it.

So an all new blog..

This is something I've been toying with for a while. It's really just a place for me to hold work in progress and complete pictures of whatever miniature project I'm working on at the minute and it's second purpose is to hold whatever army fluff I come with. The two armies I'm working on at the moment are a Nurgle Chaos Space Marine army and a Witch Hunters army. Both of these have fluffy backgrounds, with the Witch Hunters being one of the Order Minoris that I've come up with (hence the blog title). I'll post pictures, lists and fluff as I get them and any other links I've found.
